Body care review: Rating the best body lotions for dry skin!

Products:

La Roche-Posay Lipikar Baume AP+M – 8/10
The entire LRP Lipikar range of body products were formulated for dry skin and so this body lotion is very moisturising, I’ll give it that. However, I find it very thick, too thick infact. And I feel like it just sits heavy on my skin for too long.

Skin by Zaron Vitamin C Brightening/Moisturizing Body Lotion – 10/10
10, 10, 10 across the board 💯. I have used 3 bottles of this and I’m on my way to the 4th bottle. This isn’t heavy or too light and it keeps me moisturised all day!

SebaMed Lotion – 8.5/10
This has a light, almost runny consistency. It has 2 major shortcomings for me; 1. It’s not quite as moisturising as I’d personally liked. 2. It doesn’t come in a pump bottles and I like my body lotions in pump bottles. Without a pump, getting product out of a bottle can get messy.

CeraVe Moisturising Lotion – 9/10
This lotion isn’t heavy at all. It’s also not as moisturising as I expected but it gets the job done, to a large extent.

Amlactin Daily 12% Lactic Acid Moisturizing Lotion – 9/10
I use this lotion only at night. I find it adequately moisturising. But!, not every one can get past the smell 🥴.

PS: Though I tend to use body lotions formulated for dry skin, I actually do not have dry skin. I just use them cz I’ve realized they actually give me the level of hydration & moisturization I prefer. So if you’re someone with actual dry skin, you’d most likely have a difference experience with these products.

  1. Big fan of Planet Ayurveda products, and the Alektrona Body Lotion is no exception – it gives my skin a healthy glow naturally

  2. Very informative video! You explained skincare in such a simple way. For daily nourishment, I would also suggest trying Planet Ayurveda’s Alektrona Body Lotion – it keeps the skin soft and hydrated.
